The map below is the planned route with specific locations (overnights) for the Mexico 2014 journey. The overall strategy is to limit riding in the United States to 250 miles / day (as the crow flies) and about 125 miles in Mexico. There are much larger spans shown for Mexico but those are segments where a bed will be found spontaneously. Future Wandering locations can and will change as the trip gets underway, largely due to hellacious weather, breakdowns, unexpected and newly discovered attractions, etc. Also, Future Wandering dates shown are simply placeholders of arrival dates for any given layover and generally inaccurate… so ignore. Locations and dates indicated for Past Wanderings however, are accurate.
